Designer as Author: Pulp Fiction
This project is a visual interpretation of a dialogue taken from the film, Pulp Fiction. It examines how typography can be used to represent a conversation. I chose to hand write the dialogue to speak to the unique, informal and irregular nature of the film. To compliment the typography I chose to create a series of illustrations that show the two characters separated and farther apart. They are initially sitting and then transform to be closer together and progress to letting loose and dancing with one another. The series of smudges and splatters also increases with the succession of the dialogue, indicating their attitudes and state of mind as the night goes on.
